children’s yoga classes
Family Yoga with Pre-Schoolers (2-4 year olds)
Family Yoga with Pre-Schoolers class is a dynamic and interactive session designed specifically for children aged 2 to 4 years old, alongside their families. Recognising that pre-schoolers thrive on play and imitation, our interactive sessions invite children and their families to embark on a weekly thematic adventure together.
These themes can range from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) topics like Dinosaurs, Space, Mini Beasts, the Jungle, Autumn, the Beach, and the Farm, to exploring cultural topics such as Diwali, Easter, Chinese New Year, and Ramadan. This fosters an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
Using storytelling as a central tool, each class is designed to be engaging, fun, and playful. Participants can expect to participate in activities like music, songs, and rhymes, while also learning yoga postures, breathing exercises, dry massage techniques, and affirmations.
The class encourages children and their families to explore their creativity and self-expression freely, with the environment being likened to "the room is their yoga mat".
Overall, the Family Yoga with Pre-Schoolers class offers a holistic approach to early childhood development, incorporating physical activity, mindfulness, and creativity in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Children's Yoga (5-8 year olds)
Yoga is a powerful tool for promoting holistic development in children. By combining physical movement with mindfulness practices, children develop a greater sense of self-awareness and a deeper understanding of how their bodies and minds work together. This foundation helps them grow into well-rounded individuals, ready to face the challenges of their daily lives with resilience and confidence.
Yoga with 5-8-year-olds use storytelling to engage and inspire. Each class features a theme that connects with broader educational topics like the National Curriculum, British Values, or PSHE for example, The Romans, Diwali, Australia Day, Yoga for Calm, Science Week, Easter and much more.
At this stage of development, children are gaining greater physical independence and improving body control, although they are still learning to master self-control. Through regular flexibility and strengthening practices, children learn how to move their bodies with purpose and care, which helps prevent injuries and supports overall physical health.
Yoga is not just a physical activity; it also offers substantial emotional and mental benefits, helping 5-8 year olds on their journey to:
Build Focus and Concentration
Develop Emotional Regulation
Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem

Family Yoga with Tweens (8-12 year olds)
This class is designed for families with children aged 8-12, where both parents/caregivers and children can learn, play, and grow together in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This class encourages tweens to explore yoga principles, including morals and values around fairness, respect, and community. By engaging in storytelling and interactive yoga sequences, tweens lead and contribute their own ideas, fostering creativity and a deeper understanding of yoga's benefits on physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The class allows tweens to explore new ideas, concepts, and challenges through yoga poses and techniques based on themes like World Gratitude Day, Martin Luther King Day, and Environment Day.
Yoga for tweens focuses on building strength, breathing exercises, utilizing the fully developed lung capacity of tweens to promote awareness and control of their breath and mini yoga flow sequences. Longer attention spans allow for more extended relaxation and visualization techniques, giving tweens time to rest and explore their imaginations—often their favourite part of the class.
Additional benefits of family yoga include:
Strengthens family bonds and fosters quality time together.
Encourages a sense of physical and emotional support among family members through partner work
Promotes mutual respect, allowing each member to appreciate each other's strengths.
Supports healthy habits and teaches relaxation techniques that benefit the whole family.
Encourages open communication, creativity, and connection with a community of like-minded families.
No previous yoga experience is required.
